Modern Neoconfucianism and Post-modernism

  • 摘要: 现代新儒家将儒学阐释为能够推动现代社会发展.甚至可以救治现代社会的负面效应,从而超越启蒙,超越现代性.西方后现代主义思潮的核心精神是解构主义,它要解构的现代主义是自启蒙运动以来的理性主义传统,即现代性.后现代主义从修正现代性的负面效应出发,推至对现代性的激进否定.新儒学对现代性的僭越与西方后现代主义思潮在国内产生影响是当下值得关注的文化现象.两者都脱离了中国现代化进程的现实语境,对于中国尚处在生成中的现代性具有阻滞作用.

     

    Abstract: Modern neoconfucianists explain that Confucianism can promote the development of modern society and even cure the side effect of the modern society,thus surpassing enlightenment and modernity.The key spirit of western post-modernism is deconstructionism.The modernism which it wants to deconstruct is the rationist tradition since Enlightenment,that is,modernity.Post-modernism,starting from the revision of the side effect of modernity,negates modernity.The influence caused by the surpassing of modernity by neoconfucianism and western post-modernism on China is worth noticing.Neoconfucianism and western post-modernism deviate from the realistic context of the Chinese modernization process,playing negative role in the Chinese modernity.
