Theme and rheme in teaching writing and reading

  • 摘要: 本文分析介绍了英语语篇中常见的六种主位述位推进模式.作者指出,在英语写作教学过程中,教师向学生传授一点这方面的知识是有必要的,它可以帮助学生在写作的时候克服盲目性和困惑性,也有益于学生把握语篇发展的结构线索,从而提高阅读理解水平.

     

    Abstract: In this paper, the authors introduce and summarize six progression patterns of theme and rheme. They believe that it is of necessity for an English teacher to give his students some knowledge on this field, which will enable the students to overcome the blindness and perplexity in writing and to grasp the structure clue of the text that they are reading and then improve their reading comprehension.
