Abstract: The Indian Ocean,thanks to its key role in the international maritime and energy supply,has become the focus area of the global geopolitics competition in the 21st century.The interests that China holds in Indian Ocean involve economy,security,politics,culture and other respects,which are confronted with such challenges as regional system reconstruction,the mutual relations between China and India and Southeast Asia countries,regional conflicts and unrest as well as nontraditional problems.Therefore,it's an effective way to safeguard and maintain Chinese interests in Indian Ocean by enhancing the strategic coordination of powers,improving the cooperation with relative countries in this field,responding commonly to the threats of nontraditional safety problems and reinforcing the building of sea power.
