Abstract: Since Chinese characters' coming into Existence,there has been an account of Nuo. Nuo dance has been widely spread in Chinese farming cultural regions. It is a unique compound culture,which includes multi-religion,ritual ceremonies,folk custom,music,dance and masks. With very long history and plenty of ancient cultural information,Nanfeng Nuo Dance becomes a custom and a rare art treasure through long usage. The paper takes Nanfeng local culture as the point of departure to analyze the typical villages which owns the longest history of Nuo,prosperous religious culture as well as thespian art. It offers sufficient theory evidence for us to have a correct understanding of Nanfeng Nuo Dance and actively protect and inherit it.
