Abstract: Cherry blossom is one of aesthetic symbols of typical meaning in the Japanese culture.In the different times,cherry blossom represents different meanings,reflecting the Japanese people's different understanding of the beauty of cherry blossom in the different historic times.This paper analyses the Japanese people's aesthetic consciousness represented by cherry blossom in the different times in the terms of the Japanese words related to cherry blossom and calls back the dynamic change of connotation of cherry blossom as aesthetic symbol in the different times so that we can get further idea of the Japanese people's aesthetic concept and the Japanese culture.
