Discovery and restriction of human beings——The essence common to the Renaissance and the Religious Reformation

  • 摘要: 欧洲中古末期,随着经济的发展和希腊罗马文化的复兴,在经济上独立了的王权不再甘于听命于教皇,传统的神圣权威由此开始受到严重的挑战,而且有了经济基础的新兴市民,即后来的资产阶级也力图摆脱落后神学对其经济发展和民族进步的阻碍,文艺复兴和宗教改革于是就应运而生.然而,当时历史背景也决定了文艺复兴和宗教改革必然有其局限性——在发现人的同时又限制了人能力的发挥.

     

    Abstract: At the end of the Middle Ages in Europe, with the development of economy and the revival of Greek and Roman culture, the economically-independent diadem was not willing to be under the control of the Papacy any more.By then, traditional authority of the Church had been severely challenged.Besides, the rising class of citizens, who later became bourgeois, also intended to get rid of theological hindrance to the development of economy and the advancement of nations, which led to the emergence of the Renaissance and the Religious Reformation.However, the historical backgrounds of that time also resulted in their limits——on the one hand, discovering human beings;on the other hand, restricting human beings,ability.
