The Study of Reducing English Learning Anxiety by Using Metacognitive Strategies for College Student

  • 摘要: 焦虑作为一种常见的心理现象,是指个体由于不能达到目标或不能克服障碍的威胁而产生的不愉快、紧张乃至沮丧的情绪状态.元认知是调节认知过程的认知活动,是认知主体对自身心理状态、能力、认知策略等方面的认识,元认知策略是指学习者有意识地使用元认知知识对学习任务进行合理的计划、安排、监控、调节和评价.对焦虑产生因为和元认知策略内涵的分析表明,元认知策略具有培养外语学习者自主学习能力、降低外语学习焦虑的作用.

     

    Abstract: Anxiety can influence foreign language learning.However,we can reduce it by using metacognitive strategies,which can provide some reasonable plans,arrangements,supervision,adjustments and evaluations for learning assignments so as to enhance the learning motivation and cultivate learners' autonomous learning abilities.This paper analyzes the connotation of anxiety and metacognitive strategies,and also tries to probe into ways of cultivating learners' autonomous learning abilities and reduce the anxieties in foreign language learning.
