Abstract: The paper proposes a "neurocognitive linguistic" anaphora resolution mechanism based on the concept of Accessibility, aiming at providing an explanation of how people choose the intended referent from among the possible ones. It tries to explain the intra-sentential anaphora in terms of some related theories in Cognitive Linguistics, and to illustrate the value and application of Cognitive Linguistics in actual intra-sentential anaphora analysis.
