Abstract:
Jiangxi folk dance carries the millennium-old cultural heritage of the Jiangxi region. How to preserve its cultural authenticity while revitalizing it with contemporary vitality in the process of modernization is a core proposition that demands an urgent response. Jiangxi folk dances can be categorized into four types: religious rituals, agrarian life, festive imitations, and revolutionary politics. Based on this typology, the study analyzes their current development status and underlying challenges. In response to issues such as the crisis of successors, cultural ecological changes, shortcomings in the protection mechanism, and impacts from modern culture, the research proposes a four-dimensional collaborative framework of “foundation consolidation—activation—collaboration—innovation” The consolidation strategy aims to solidify the foundation through emergency documentation and innovation in the inheritor mechanism. The activation strategy, grounded in the theory of cultural capital, seeks to realize value transformation through paths such as “dance + tourism”,“dance + industry”,and “dance + wellness”.The collaborative innovation strategy works to establish a pattern of multi-stakeholder governance, distinguishing between two pathways of the “refined stage-oriented” approach and the “community-based living preservation” approach, forming a virtuous cycle of “community-rooted nourishment and stage-based flourishing” This framework is intended to provide systematic theoretical support and practical guidance for the creative transformation and innovative development of Jiangxi folk dance, and to distill generalizable “Jiangxi experience”.
