Abstract: Forging the sense of community of Chinese nation is a major innovative achievement of the sinicization and modernization of Marxism, and it is the main thread of the Party’s ethnic affairs in the new era. The connotations of forging the sense of community of Chinese nation are clarified through political identity, cultural identity, historical identity, and value identity. Forging the sense of community of Chinese nation is the crystallization of the wisdom of the Party’s theory and practice in ethnic affairs. It is the fundamental safeguard for maintaining ethnic affairs and territorial integrity, the strategic cornerstone for consolidating national solidarity and social harmony, an inherent requirement for advancing the modernization of the national governance system and governance capacity, a source of immense strength for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, and an embodiment of Chinese wisdom in the concept of building a community with a shared future for mankind. In the new era and on a new journey, only by consistently upholding the Party’s leadership and institutional guarantees, deepening cultural influence and educational guidance, promoting common prosperity and improving people’s livelihoods, expanding the breadth and depth of exchanges and integration, and consolidating the rule of law while preventing and resolving risks, can we gather the tremendous power of 1.4 billion Chinese people to “think in the same direction and work with one heart”, injecting a ceaseless spiritual momentum into the comprehensive building of a modern socialist country and promoting the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind.
