Abstract:
Stories of the great changes in the new era provided vivid resources for ideological and political education in universities. Integrating these stories into ideological and political theory courses played a crucial role in enhancing the effectiveness of ideological and political education. On the new journey, teachers of ideological and political theory courses in universities need to pay attention to grasping the logic mechanism between narrating stories of the great changes in the new era and enhancing the effectiveness of ideological and political education in universities. The primary focus should be on the internal conversion, which operated through content changes, cognitive construction, emotional stimulation, and behavioral reinforcement. Elements of practice path such as thematic integration, new media empowerment, and teacher-student should be strengthened to facilitate the achievement of the “four-dimensional enhancement” of ideological and political education in universities. At the same time, teachers need to clearly convey the essential implications of the stories of great changes in the new era. Accordingly, practical pathways were proposed, including deeply aligned stories of the great changes in the new era with the curriculum system, activating teaching scenarios through audience-specific narratives, building “Narrative Education Community” co-created by teachers and students and so on, all of which continuously enhanced the effectiveness of ideological and political education in universities.
