Abstract: The aviation national defense culture embodies a distinct sentiment of patriotism, dedication to serving the country, and striving for national strength. It is a valuable cultural resource for promoting the connotative development of ideological and political courses in national defense characteristic universities through upholding integrity and innovation. Integrating aviation national defense culture into the ideological and political courses of national defense characteristic universities under the framework of the “Great Ideological and Political Course”, especially into the survey course of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, has inherent value implications that meet the requirements of ideological and political education in the new era. It needs to align the ideological values and goals of ideological and political courses with the aviation defense culture, nourish the teaching core of ideological and political courses with the spiritual form of aviation defense culture, and expand the ideological and political course resource platform with the material form created by aviation defense culture. On this basis, it can further explore the practical direction of forming specialized classroom teaching, field oriented practical education, and digital resource supply mechanism, in order to stimulate youth responsibility and gather youth strength for the construction of a strong country and national rejuvenation.
