Abstract:
Within the context of China’s modernization paradigm, which is fundamentally oriented toward human-centric logic and recognizes human beings as the primary agents of modernization, human modernization has emerged as an essential requirement, a practical foundation, and an inevitable choice for achieving Chinese-style modernization. On one hand, the human-centric logic inherently dictates the theoretical inevitability of advancing Chinese-style modernization through human development, China’s developmental pathway objectively determines the necessity of this approach, and societal progress affirms its historical inevitability. On the other hand, human modernization confronts three major challenges: value dilemmas, practical constraints, and cultural obstacles. In response to these inherent necessities and existing challenges, providing theoretical support and practical nourishment for human modernization—through economic foundational development, societal empowerment, and cultural cultivation—constitutes the requisite pathway for leveraging human modernization to advance Chinese-style modernization.
