Abstract:
As the chief architect of China’s socialist reform, opening-up, and modernization, Deng Xiaoping’s writing style not only embodied distinctive personal characteristics but also profoundly reflected his political philosophy and governing wisdom. In the evolving trajectory of China’s political discourse system, Deng’s style which marked by brevity, clarity, and directness effectively broke away from the long-standing rigid and dogmatic linguistic patterns, steering political expression from hollow formalism toward pragmatic efficiency. As a governance paradigm that transcended personal stylistic traits, Deng’s writing style laid a foundation for modern political communication and the construction of political language, while also offering significant theoretical insights and practical references for the reform of official discourse and the development of political culture in the new era.
