Abstract: Xi Jinping’s cultural thought is the latest achievement of cultural construction in the new era, and is also a concrete manifestation of the “second combination”. Xi Jinping’s cultural thought is based on the inherent requirements of developing Marxist cultural theory, satisfying the people’s real needs for a better spiritual culture and to comply with the development trend of building a new form of human civilization. The theoretical innovations of Xi Jinping’s cultural thought include not only “the Party’s cultural leadership” and “cultural self-confidence”, which were previously discussed but not yet systematic, but also the“two combinations” and the “global civilization”, which are not yet systematic. It also includes such pioneering innovative theories as “two combinations” and “global civilization initiative”, which have not been mentioned before. In the process of cultural construction in the new era, Xi Jinping’s cultural thought anchors the direction of the development of Marxist cultural theory, provides theoretical guidance for practicing socialist core values, and contributes Chinese wisdom to the cultural construction of a community of human destiny.
