Abstract: Media convergence has profoundly changed the forms and contents of news of disaster events, including the in-depth reports that used to play an important role in the news of disaster events. By analyzing the Henan Rainstorm on July 20, China Eastern Airlines MU5735 aircraft crash and other major disasters in recent years, it can be found that matrix linkage of media and multi-channel information search are important manifestations of media convergence, which enable the in-depth reporting of disaster events. Limitation dilemma from long time creation, audience dilemma from users lacking of deep understanding and validity dilemma from extrusion in information space are new problems of the news media under the condition of media convergence. Increasing the application of technology, innovating narrative voice, developing product thinking are the viable paths to solve these questions and crack these dilemmas.
