Abstract: Building China into a great cultural socialist country by 2035 is a strategic goal clearly outlined at the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee. As a long-term and systematic project, how to realize the construction of cultural power is a problem worth thinking about. Only by keeping in mind the origin can we truly realize the future. In the new era, we should dialectically inherit the excellent traditional Chinese culture and take it as the root of cultural power according to the social development and historical changes and combining with the actual needs of national development. Scientific theory guides successful practice. Marxism is a scientific theory proved by successful practice. It has burst out a powerful force in the process of combining with Chinese reality and Chinese traditional culture, which should be regarded as the soul of cultural power. As the main body of history, the people not only create material wealth, but also create spiritual wealth. To achieve the great goal of cultural power, socialist cultural power must adhere to the people’s pioneering status, consciously regard the people as the body of cultural power, firmly believe that the people themselves produce their own culture. Ensuring the development of cultural undertakings in the right direction is inseparable from the correct leadership of the Party, which is the most essential feature of socialism with Chinese characteristics and the guarantee for the smooth realization of the goal of cultural power.
