Abstract: With the outbreak of the Boxer Rebellion, there have been numerous and extremely violent civil-religious conflicts in Jiangxi. Under the leadership of the Jiangxi governor, officials at all levels in Jiangxi responded actively to try to contain the situation. At the beginning of the Missionary Case, Song Shou tried to stop the church cases with high-handed policies and the power of the gentry, but the cases continued to occur everywhere. By the time the Chinese and foreign peace talks were underway, Li Xingrui took the approach of protecting the religion, punishing the officials and the gentry, and making reparations, which eventually brought an end to the sectarian cases in Jiangxi during this period. This process had deep-seated social factors behind Jiangxi, and laid the groundwork for the intensification of the missionary cases around Jiangxi in the late Qing Dynasty and the fall of the Qing Dynasty in Jiangxi.
