成己至仁《大学章句》中“止”的哲学意义

Self-completion Leads to HumanityThe Philosophical Significance of “Zhi” in The Chapter of the Great Learning

  • 摘要: 在《大学》中,先哲们将“至善”诠释为世界的边界,并将“止”与人的认识活动以及实践活动联系在了一起。作为宋明理学的集大成者,朱熹将“止”视为“至善”的天理之所在,主张通过“即物穷理”的认识旨趣来认识“止”,再通过“修齐治平”的实践旨趣来达到“止”,也就是“行仁”。在这一过程中,作为发问者与践行者的人对“止”的探索与践行展开为一个 “成己”与“成物”的过程。

     

    Abstract: In“The Great Learning”, philosophers interpreted the“supreme goodness”as the boundary of the world, and they associated“zhi”with people’s cognitive activities and practical activities. As the master of Song and Ming Neo-Confucianism, Zhu Xi regarded “zhi” as the principle of heaven of“supreme goodness”. Zhu Xi advocated knowing “zhi” through the way of knowing“jiwuqiongli”. And he advocated the realization of “zhi” through the practice of “xiuqizhiping”,to be more specific,“xingren”. In this process, people’s exploration and practice of “zhi”unfolds into a process of“to be yourself”and“let things be”.
