Abstract: College students are in the critical period of establishing values. Establishing a solid cultural self-confidence determines the value trend of the whole society in the future. College students lack a deep understanding of the essence of the long history and culture of the nation, and even lack national pride, resulting in the loss of national spirit and college students’ lack of confidence in culture. Aesthetic education is not a day’s work. It needs to be down-to-earth and work for a long time. Starting with the education of national spirit and Chinese traditional culture, it is fundamental to open up good aesthetic education courses, build an aesthetic education teaching model centered on students’ development, and comprehensively improve college students’ aesthetic literacy.
