Abstract: The national defense culture of new China is a socialist national defense culture created by the people’s army and the masses under the leadership of the Communist Party of China in the great practice of long-term national defense struggle and construction. Its generation contains the spiritual connotation corresponding to the special mission and task of national defense of our country, expresses the essential attribute of sinicized Marxist ideology, and presents the revolutionary, combative, just and creative characteristics. The spiritual soul of new China’s national defense culture and the remaining physical and cultural resources have provided powerful spiritual strength, valuable experience and high-quality cultural resources for accelerating the modernization of national defense and the armed forces on the new journey, promoting the construction of national defense culture in the new era and strengthening the mass foundation for national defense.
