Abstract: As an important part of red culture, red song resources play a key role in inspiring the people in the establishment, development, reform and other stages of our party. The application of red song resources in ideological and political education in colleges and universities can cultivate the cultural self-confidence and national identity of contemporary college students. Based on this, the characteristics and classification of red song resources were introduced, and the application status of red song resources in ideological and political education in colleges and universities was expounded. Finally, the application dilemma and reasons of red song resources in ideological and political education in colleges and universities were analyzed, and an effective application path was proposed.
