Abstract: With the development of society, alumni play an increasingly important role in the construction of higher education, especially in the process of specialty construction. This paper focuses on the research on the promotion of alumni of Nanchang Hangkong university on specialty construction, and analyzes the factors such as excellent alumni, university employment, school enterprise cooperation, and alumni donation, etc., which have a positive effect on the construction of professional disciplines. Eventually, based on the actual situations, we extract those realistic paths and measures, such as cultivating alumni's good alma mater impression, gathering professional alumni, exerting the influence of outstanding alumni, encouraging alumni donation behavior, and establishing professional alumni associations for promoting the construction of professional disciplines and connotation of colleges.
