Abstract: The political turmoil in the early period of the Third French Republic made more writers and thinkers deeply analyze and interpret the relationship between human society and ecological nature. Jules Verne, the famous French writer, and his famous “Ocean Trilogy” all showed distinctive ecological literary characteristics. This paper analyzes and interprets the ecological literature and human social reality in The Mysterious Island by using the methods of social background connection, value analysis criticism and symbolic element analysis, and then illustrates the profound ecological literature value and sociological value from it.
