Abstract: Democratic centralism is the fundamental organizational principle, organizational system and leadership system of the Party and the state. Since the eighteen Party’s Congress, the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as its core has opened a new round of strict administration of the Party, and has thoroughly promoted the Party’s democratic centralism from the height of strictly administering the Party. In a word, from the perspective of connotation relevance, democratic centralism is the necessary meaning and important starting point in the comprehensive and strict governance of the Party, which is the fundamental requirement and institutional guarantee of democratic centralism; in an important sense, strengthening democratic centralism in the perspective of comprehensive and strict governance of the Party is conducive to the implementation of the Party’s organizational line, compliance with system norms and clear political atmosphere; from the perspective of practice, it is necessary to strengthen democratic centralism. In terms of path, to uphold and strengthen democratic centralism from the perspective of comprehensive and strict governance of the Party, we must improve the system of democratic centralism, improve the operational mechanism of democratic centralism, and strictly understand the Party’s political discipline and rules.
