Abstract: Independence is a fine tradition of the Chinese nation and an important principle for the Communist Party of China and the People’s Republic of China to establish the Party and the country. Focusing on the basic issues of what is independence, why should be independent, how to be independent, Dr. Ma Chunling’s Research on the Independent Thought of the Communist Party of China has made a systematic and in-depth study on the independent thought of the Communist Party of China from the background of the times, historical process, scientific connotation, value and significance. Although there are some shortcomings and deficiencies in the theoretical interpretation and promotion, and the combination of history and theory, its broad-minded topic selection, rigorous and reasonable deconstruction and innovative viewpoints are enough to show that it is an academic work worthy of more attention from the academic circle.
