Abstract: As an important wing of civil aviation industry, general aviation industry is expected to become a pillar industry to promote economic development. The objective and accurate identification of the development stage of the general aviation industry is of great strategic significance for its sustainable and sound development. Based on the theory of industry life cycle, this paper has established a life cycle assessment model of general aviation industry from five dimensions of industry scale, industrial technological innovation, industrial structure, government roles and industrial development status by using computational judgment method, Gompertz curve fitting method and empirical comparison method. Taking China’s general aviation industry as an example, we conducted an empirical study. In order to promote the sustainable development of my country's general aviation industry, countermeasures and suggestions are put forward.
