Abstract: Socialist core values education is the result of the combination of Marxist values and Chinese excellent traditional values. The integration of Chinese excellent traditional culture into the socialist core values education of colleges and universities is not only an inherent requirement for the innovative development and creative transformation of Chinese excellent traditional culture, but also an important measure to improve the effectiveness of the education of socialist core values. In the actual integration process, on the one hand, there are dilemmas of ideological understanding, educational practice, and value conflict; on the other hand, they are faced with the challenges of refinement of content, the challenge of efficiency of integration channels, and the challenge of rationalization of integration methods. To resolve predicaments and cope with challenges, we firstly must tap into the content of integration and enrich the resources for integration; we secondly need to explore the psychology of integration and follow the rules of integration; we should thirdly broaden the channels of integration and improve the effectiveness of integration; we must fourthly create an environment for integration and activate the atmosphere of integration.
