Abstract: In the late 1970s, some economies have exhibited signs of overheating. Li Xiannian, who takes charge of the daily routine work in the State Council, although he was skeptical and hesitating about that claim, he still as a whole agreed with the tenets of high speed development. Chen Yun set the task of economic adjustment early and got the support from Deng Xiaoping. Through the efforts of Chen Yun and Li Xiannian, economic adjustment work corrected the ratio disorder which was long-standing and built up a new development path.
