Abstract: The red gene embodies the original intention of the Communist Party of China. The Communist Party of China takes the interests of the people as the starting point, advocating the new social values guided by Marxist values, establishing a new social order, satisfying people’s good yearning for freedom, equality, justice and the rule of law, to realize the maximization of the interests of the people. The formation and development of revolutionary culture is the process of the Communist Party of China leading the Chinese people to realize freedom, equality, justice and the rule of law, which lays an important ideological resource for the value orientation of socialist core values at the social level. The red gene records the great struggle practice of the Communist Party of China in the period of revolution, construction and Reform in the form of red memory, condensing the value orientation of “freedom, equality, justice and rule of law”, and embodying the core meaning of socialist core values at the social level. In a sense, the connotation of red gene and socialist core values is homogeneous at the social level.
