Abstract: By using modern governance theory, this paper, combined with practical working experience as well, analyzes the current problems existing in the secondary school management, such as lack of autonomy in running a school, the unreasonable rights' disposition, the single management subject, and carelessness and informality tendency in management. And the reasons why the current problems exist and the connotation of the modernization of secondary school management are discussed in this paper. Also, the paper provides five approaches to realizing the modernization of secondary school secondary school, which are defining the value orientation in management, completing the management structure of the college, using scientific methods and means of management, cultivating management culture, and the strengthening and improving of the party's construction in the school.
