Abstract: Yi Shu's novel The First Half of My Life has become the focus of the urban community. The main reason is that it shows the realistic predicament faced by young men and women in cities and thuches on the problems of loneliness of urban individuals and the self growth of women in the process of modern social development through the emotional stories of urban men and women, which brings women's independence, growth and survival dilemma into the social perspective.
