Abstract: To promote the theoretical system of socialism with Chinese characteristics to enter textbooks, the classroom and mind is the main line of propaganda and ideological work in colleges since the reform and opening up, and it also is the core research field that has long been concerned by the ideological and theoretical circles. In the past thirty years, the relevant research has been fruitful, focusing on the current situation, problems and education method of the theoretical system of socialism with Chinese characteristics. But there are also research contents to be refined and deepened; the research thought focuses on the strategy construction of the theory education "how to", and lack of attention to the current situation of the students' theory "is how"; the research methods are mainly based on the traditional methods of empirical summary and rational thinking, while the scientific research is insufficient, the researchers are more dispersed and need to carry out in-depth and comprehensive research. Implementation to academic research and action research as the core of scientific research methods, the research content of fine and "reality", grasp regularity and practicability of the research conclusion, should be the developmental trend of related research under the new situation.
