Abstract: This paper has established a comprehensive evaluation index system including industry foundation, industry demand, industry efficiency and industry innovation to evaluate the competitive force of aviation industry of China. Based on the time series global principal component analysis method, the data of 23 provinces and municipalities directly under the central government from 2006 to 2014 have been used. The results showed the total competitiveness of aviation industry in Jiangxi was in the middle level and it kept a rising trend. More precisely, the industrial scale common factor has risen sharply, while the industrial efficiency and the industrial innovation have declined slightly. To further improve the competitiveness of aviation industry in Jiangxi, this paper gave the following suggestions. Firstly, the scale economy should be cultivated with the government support. Then, market mechanism should play its role to improve the industrial efficiency. Finally, the R & D investment should be increased to gain innovation ability.
