植物与诗的对话——试析歌德整体性自然观

A Dialogue between Plants and Poetry——An Analysis on Goethe's Integral View of Nature

  • 摘要: 诗人歌德作为自然研究家,进行植物学研究的出发点是艺术,是为了寻求自然的"本质形式"。其植物学成果——"叶子"作为植物本源,本身是科学与诗的结合,这体现了歌德自然观的整体性。歌德将科学、艺术与文学相统一,正是对现代学术分科后产生的分裂现象的反思,这对于我国社会发展过程中的人文建设具有一定的启示。

     

    Abstract: Art is the starting point for Goethe's botanical study, through which he as a poet and naturalist aims to seek for the "essential form" of nature. The conclusion of his botanical research that "leaf" is the origin of plants is itself a combination of science and poetry, indicating his integral view of nature. Goethe's unification of science, art and literature represents his reflection on the separation problems arising from the departmentalization of modern academia. His integral view of nature may provide insights for our understanding of the role of humanities in our own society.
