Abstract: As a movie narrating the story happened in colonization period, KANO didn't choose to criticize Japanese colonists, reflect it's harm to Taiwan people, but to exaggerate the achievements of modernization which brought to Taiwan by Japanese colonists, constructed the false idea of ethnic harmony, and finally reach the point of beatifying Japanese colonization. This paper tries to expose the real purpose of KANO on the basis of historical material.
