To Look For Human Literature:Lin Yu-tang's Views on Biographical Literature

  • 摘要: 林语堂特别关注传记文学的创作,在不同时期都写有自传,并创作了几部重要的人物传记,且对中外优秀的传记作品大加推介。在考察中国古代传记文学时,林语堂从现代个体意识出发,发现了自然人性的流露和生命愉悦的存在。在这样的发现里,他表达了对中国现代传记文学发展的构想:尊重人性的自然流露,在日常俗世中追求超越性,实现审美文化人格的建构。

     

    Abstract: Biographical literature has actractted the attention of Lin Yu-tang.He not only wrote a few autobiographies and celebrity biographies,but also introduced many excellent works.Studying ancient literature, Lin Yu-tang found natural humanity and happy life.He expressed the idea about the development of Chinese modern biographical literature.
