Abstract:
The effect of science and education, opening up, government intervention and industrial upgrading on Chinese regional economic growth has periodic difference, which is proved by adopting capital, labor and energy three-factor production function and using the panel data of 30 provinces from 1995 to 2012. The study shows that the improvement of scientific innovation and high-education play significant positive role in promoting all periodic and all regional economic growth and the periodic difference is outstanding. Therefore, to realize the coordinated development of regional economy, differentiated regional economic reform should be implemented.
