Abstract: Chinese people have been actively exploring the ways to realize national revival for two hundred yeas in recent generations. From The Opium War in 1840 to the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949, Chinese people broke through the closed-door policy and opened their eyes to look at the world, endeavoring to achieve people's liberation and gain nation independence.Form 1949 to now, efforts had also been made to achieve revitalization and prosperity of Chinese nation and to find ways to work for the well being of people. Time goes by, but the review of those glorious past is of great time value to today's construction of socialism with Chinese Characteristics.
