Abstract: Industrial enterprises above designated size take a leading role in innovation-driven development strategy and independent innovation strategy.Its capability of independent innovation is the inherent driving force of long-term development of the national economy. This paper set up the index system by using the cross-section data of industrial enterprises above designated size from 31 provinces of China in 2012 for the empirical analysis. We used the method of SPSS18.0 to conduct the factor analysis and found that there were commonalities and differences in the factors which influence the independent innovation capability of industrial enterprises above designated size.
