Abstract: The book the Foundation Age of the American Diplomacy(1776-1860), written by professor Wang Xiaode, took systemic research of the major events in early American diplomatic history. And the monograph took in-depth analysis of the ideological roots of these events. As a pioneering work, it is of great academic value. Chinese cycle has achieved a lot in the research of American diplomatic history. But we have a long way to go in multidisciplinary theoretical knowledge accumulation and multi-language mastering. Only in the way can we make the research of the American diplomatic history more innovative and achieve substantive breakthrough.
