A Study on Standardization of the Translation of Linguistic Terms

This paper studies the confusion in the Chinese translation of linguistic terms.It firstly analyses the polysemy and mistranslation of foreign linguistic terms in some representative dictionaries in linguistics,then discusses the principles of translating linguistic terms, including accuracy,functional equivalence and practicability and at last puts forward some suggestions about the standardization of linguistics terminology.
