Interpretation of and Countermeasures against “China Threat” Psychology in Japan

Abstract
In today's complicated international society,Japan feels a threat from the rise of China.Such a misconception about China has a bad impact on the development of the relationship between China and Japan.This essay analyzes "China Threat" in Japan from a psychological perspective and holds that this psychological phenomenon reflects such Japanese habitual thoughts as consciousness of crisis,conservatism,opportunism,dependence,and pragmatism.It is really not easy to change habitual thoughts.However,it is possible for us to take advantage of such Japanese habitual thoughts to eliminate the negative impact of "China Threat" theory.This has an enlightening significance for better understanding of Japan's foreign policy.
