In the frenzy of carving up China,Social Darwinism successfully aroused the Chinese people's sense of nationalism and competition,promoted constitutional movement and 1911 Revolution.The Chinese communists,with revolutionary attitude,successfully applied Marx's theory of class struggle and broken the yoke of foreign powers imposed on themselves and achieved national independence. But after the founding of the new China,the Chinese Communists represented by Mao Zedong continued the class struggle,which brought about irreparable loss and disasters to the country and nation.In the new century the Chinese Communists put forward the aim of building the harmonious society,which is based on the objective needs and inevitable choice of the realistic development of the Chinese society.
