The Comparison between Chinese and Japanese Traditional Initiatory Textbooks

  • Initiatory textbooks are important vehicles of traditional culture.Chinese initiatory education was carried out very early,and Chinese initiatory textbooks have a long history.Japanese indigenous initiatory textbook came into being in the late period of the Heian age.Since Japanese initiatory textbooks developed during the process of introducing and absorbing Chinese initiatory textbooks,Chinese and Japanese traditional initiatory textbooks share a lot of similarities.However,many dissimilarities are embodied in them because of the differences in the social structure and national tradition in both countries.
