Study on Brinkmann’s Eco-poems in Light of Post-modernist Context
-
Abstract
Since the 1970s,great developments and achievements have been made abroad in the study and criticism of ecological literature. And in recent years study on western ecological literature has also drawn worldwide attention at home,as the research on ecological literature, both in British and American literature, has reached high level both in scope and depth.Regrettably study and criticism of German ecological literature are still not brilliant domestically, which is not optimistic. How to keep pace with or catch up with the study on ecological literature in other countries has become a top priority for Chinese scholars of Germanic studies and ecology.Eco-poet Brinkmann is one of the leading figures in the poetic circle of Federal Germany in the 1970s.His works call for detailed research and exploration in terms of their high artistic achievements and positive realistic significance. The paper, based on eco-poetic thoughts in his post-modernist aesthetic conceptions,is intended to focus on artistic characteristics and realistic significance of his works,so as to throw light on the important role that ecological protection plays in human existence.
