Understanding Lawrence’s Novels from the Ecologic Perspective

Since the Industrial Revolution,the natural environment has been deteriorated.Environmental problems have aroused the concern of all walks of life.As a study of relationship between literature and the natural environment,eco-criticism developed rapidly.In this paper,eco-critical theory is used to analyze the ecological thoughts in the works of Lawrence.It aims to warn the contemporary society that human beings must live in harmony with nature.An ecologically harmonious view should be promoted in order to facilitate the healthy and stable development of society.
