Abstract

In English numerals can be used to achieve the effective hyperbole,which quite a lot of authors have applied in their works.In addition,numerals can also be used for the special effect of non-hyperbole,especially in literature.This paper,based on the texts from the college English books,provides discussions on the function of English numerals in the way of non-hyperbole and the analysis of the characteristcs.
