Consciousness of Staying Middling in Japan after the Collapse of the Bubble Economy

In recent years, there have been plenty of studies on the consciousness of staying in middling in Japan at a time of spectacular economic growth.However, with the change of economic situation, great changes have taken place in the consciousness after the collapse of the bubble economy. Some researchers put forward the idea of the disapperance of consciousness of staying middling,some thought that a serious polarization of society had divided the society into groups of victory and failure, while some others thought that Japan had fallen into the lower class. Based on the above opinions, the paper tried to research on the consciousness of staying middling after the collapse of the bubble economy from the angle of history and current situation.
