-
Abstract
At the end of the Middle Ages in Europe, with the development of economy and the revival of Greek and Roman culture, the economically-independent diadem was not willing to be under the control of the Papacy any more.By then, traditional authority of the Church had been severely challenged.Besides, the rising class of citizens, who later became bourgeois, also intended to get rid of theological hindrance to the development of economy and the advancement of nations, which led to the emergence of the Renaissance and the Religious Reformation. However, the historical backgrounds of that time also resulted in their limits——on the one hand, discovering human beings;on the other hand, restricting human beings, ability.
